“Where have you been with your LOWA shoes? “- With this question, the outdoor footwear company LOWA has launched its own “LOWA FOOTPRINTS” social network this year.
The app was awarded as a winner in the “brand apps” category for the “excellence in branding, strategy & creation” category during the ceremony of the German Brand Award in Berlin.
Responsible for development and technical implementation is the Rohrbach ADVERMA communication agency, which supports LOWA as a full-service agency.
For a couple of years the marketing department of LOWA has been firmly focusing on digital media with the aim of increasing the presence of the brand in this area.
“Through a brand-specific community, we offer a platform where outdoor enthusiasts and the brand can get in touch and exchange messages,” says brand marketing manager Michael Frank.
Users can post through the app (iOS and Android) and the website the pictures of their outdoor experiences and thus leave their track.
By mentioning/tagging the shoe model in the post, with just one click, it is possible to browse the experiences related to that same model that other users shared with the community. The pictures are then sorted accoding to the kind of activities, categories and location, thus becoming a source of inspiration for further adventurers. Even the athletes of the LOWA PRO Team leave their footprints during their exciting expeditions.
