LOWA wins another specialist press award, this time with the new IROX GTX MID shoe; the prestigious German Outdoor Magazin, after having tested the shoe, awarded it the “Kauftipp” prize.
Here is a summary of the opinion expressed by the magazine:
“There is no doubt that compared to the other three products of the competition we have tested, LOWA’s IROX GTX MID model is more structured (1,200 grams per pair); but the protection to the malleolus is almost the same as the one normally provided by a trekking shoe with almost double the weight. For this reason, anyone who does not want to have problems with ankle sprain or plan trips into the nature with good equipment, finds a perfect solution with this model. Thanks to a fast lacing system and the synthetic material structure, the IROX GTX MID adapts immediately to the anatomy of the foot; the upper is breathable and waterproof thanks to the use of the Gore-Tex® lining. The Elika sole guarantees ideal traction and roll; the cushioning of the midsole ensures excellent comfort while walking on rocks.
In short, we can state that the IROX GTX MID model is now the best lightweight trekking model on the market.
+ In relation to the excellent protection of the malleolus, the IROX GTX MID model from LOWA is very light, ensures ideal comfort and fit, is easy-to-tie, y waterproof and breathable. “
